Next, we schedule the coaching consultation. This is where I get to ask the questions! But this helps me create the personalized coaching plan you will use over the course of the coaching period. Then it's time to work! But this is also when the magic happens as you transform your body and mind.

Dr. Kathryn Defilippi

Hello there, I'm Dr. Kathryn, the heart and soul behind Running Alchemy. My journey was ignited by a desire to make a difference in people's lives, merging my fervor for running with my professional acumen as a licensed mental health therapist. I pursued and achieved a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, not simply to add to my credentials but to enhance my capacity to contribute to individuals and whole organizations.

As a disruptive event management consultant, I recognized a yawning gap - employee mental health needs were often side-lined and unaddressed. You see, running is more than a hobby for me; it’s a passion that sparks my every day.

Despite not being athletically inclined in my earlier years, running became a challenge that shaped me. There was a time when fear of failure would make me retreat, but the decision to run a marathon changed everything. It taught me to strike 'failure' from my lexicon, replacing it with the empowering belief that every effort and experience is a stepping stone towards learning and growth. We can push our boundaries and find the incredible endurance of our bodies and minds if only we dare to test our limits. Running became that dare for me, a daily challenge and a daily victory. This mindset fortified me in my career and academia, enabling me to surmount hurdles with ease and determination.

My ambition for you is simple yet profound. I aim to guide you in confronting your fears, tackling obstacles, and, most importantly, infusing a profound sense of 'freedom' into your life narrative.
